What are LinkedIn Ads?

LinkedIn Ads are a paid advertising platform that allows businesses to reach professionals based on their career information rather than their browsing behaviour. Unlike platforms such as Facebook or Instagram, LinkedIn's targeting is built around professional data including job title, seniority, company, industry, skills, years of experience, education, and company size. This makes LinkedIn particularly effective for B2B companies that need to reach decision-makers instead of general consumers. LinkedIn supports multiple campaign objectives, including brand awareness, website visits, engagement, video views, lead generation, website conversions, job applicants, and document downloads. While the cost per click is typically higher than most social platforms, the audience quality is often significantly better. A single qualified lead from a VP, Director, or C-level executive can generate far more revenue than dozens of cheaper consumer clicks.
